Canary Islands Launch €5 Million Grant Program for Early Childhood Education

The Canary Islands government has launched a €5 million grant program aimed at subsidizing early childhood education for children aged 0 to 3. The funding will support students enrolled in municipal and private centers across the autonomous community, covering part or all of their educational costs.
The initiative, approved under an order from July 2024, seeks to promote access to quality pre-school education while easing financial burdens on families.
Funding Details
- The funds will be disbursed over two academic periods:
- €3.5 million for September 2025 to March 2026
- €1.5 million for April to June 2026
- Applicants have a 10-day window to submit their requests, starting from the day after the announcement’s publication in the Canary Islands Official Gazette.
- The resolution process for the grants will conclude within six months of the application deadline.
