The initiative targets livestock owners who are registered and active within regional authorities, ensuring they meet specific criteria such as cattle identification and movement registration.

Financial Aid Details

  • Financial aid will cover three main areas:
    • Premiums for calves born from nurse cows
    • Premiums for calves born from other cattle
    • Slaughtering assistance
  • Total funding amounts to nearly €5.88 million, with:
    • €475,000 allocated for the first two categories
    • €3.93 million for slaughter subsidies
  • Aid per animal varies:
    • Calves from nurse cows will receive €329
    • Calves from other cattle will receive €126
    • Slaughter premiums depend on the age of the animal:
      • €75 for younger calves
      • €330 for older animals
