The Canary Islands government has officially published a new agreement between the Canary Islands Employment Service (SCE) and Hotel Taburiente, S.L., to facilitate non-labor internships for young people through the 'Practícate' program. This initiative aims to address youth unemployment by providing practical work experience to recent graduates or those with limited professional experience.

Participant Details

• Young individuals aged 18 to 25 (up to 29 if registered with the National Youth Guarantee System)
• Unemployed
• Hold relevant qualifications, such as university degrees or technical certifications

Internship Details

• Duration: six months
• Daily schedule: six hours
• Includes supervision, training, and certification upon completion

Funding and Payment

• Employers will pay a monthly stipend of at least 720 euros, covering social security contributions and the internship itself.
• The government will subsidize 80% of the internship costs, up to a maximum of 480 euros per person per month, to encourage participation.
