The Canary Islands government has announced a new scholarship program aimed at young university graduates in the region. The initiative seeks to train graduates in international business and investment attraction, boosting the local economy by creating a network of specialists who can assist both Canary Island companies with their international expansion and foreign investors interested in the archipelago.

Applicant Criteria

Applicants must meet specific criteria, including:

  • Holding a university degree
  • Possessing a high-intermediate level of English (B2)
  • Having resided in the Canary Islands for at least two years
  • Being nationals of EU countries
  • Being legally unemployed or employed
  • Being born after January 1, 1997

Additional language skills, such as French, Portuguese, or German, are a plus.

Program Structure

The program has two phases:

  • A theoretical master’s course valued at €2,500
  • A practical internship abroad, with participants receiving a monthly stipend based on the destination country

This covers:

  • Travel
  • Accommodation
  • Visa fees
  • Social security contributions

Application Process

  • Submissions are open for 20 days
  • Applications must be submitted via the regional government’s online portal
