Background
- The Canary Islands Employment Service (SCE) has decided to end its management support contract with the public institute ITC for the Center of Orientation, Entrepreneurship, and Innovation at the end of 2026.
- Previously, ITC was responsible for managing key employment services under a contract set to run until December 2026, with automatic extensions until 2028.

- The move aims to:
- Improve efficiency
- Reduce costs
- Streamline cooperation between different departments
- Align the management structure of the Canary Islandsā employment initiatives with other autonomous communities
- Guarantee better service delivery and collaboration.
Transition Details
- The resolution includes the transfer of all related data, documents, and digital assets from ITC to the SCE by the end of 2026, ensuring a smooth transition.
Expected Outcomes
- Residents and job seekers should see a more integrated and responsive local employment system as a result of these changes.
