Overview
The Fuerteventura Water Council announced plans for a new modular wastewater treatment plant in La Pared, PĆ”jara. This facility aims to serve the growing needs of the area, with an initial capacity to treat 210 cubic meters of water dailyāpotentially doubling to 420 m³ in ten years, accommodating urban expansion.
Technology and Features
The plant will use advanced MBBR technology, providing:
- Biological treatment
- Secondary decantation
- UV disinfection
to ensure high-quality water suitable for reuse in irrigation and municipal services. It will also feature civil works, including:
