The Canary Islands’ Agriculture Department has launched a €3.73 million aid program for vineyard owners in 2025, aiming to support wine producers with protected Denomination of Origin (DOP).

• Vineyard owners registered with regulatory councils overseeing DOP wines.

Funding Details

• The funds are partly financed by the European Union’s European Agricultural Guarantee Fund.
• The aid provides a maximum of €2,530 per hectare for insured vineyards.
• The aid offers €2,310 per hectare for vineyards without insurance.
• Farmers who participated in rural development programs and maintain such status can earn a 10% bonus.
