The Canary Islands government has opened a call for tenders to fund international cooperation projects in 2025, with a total budget of €2.86 million.

The grants support various organizations, including:

  • Public administrations
  • Universities
  • NGOs
  • Immigrant associations
  • Private companies

provided they operate in the Canary Islands and have relevant experience in development cooperation.

Project Classification

Projects are classified into two categories:

  • Aid in Africa
  • Aid in other global regions

Note: This excludes humanitarian aid such as disaster relief and emergency supplies.

Funding Details

  • Funds can be allocated up to €60,000 per project.
  • An entity can have a maximum of two projects.
  • The program encourages diverse participation across sectors.

Application and Timeline

  • Applicants have 20 working days from the official publication to submit proposals.
  • Activities are expected to start in 2025.
  • Projects must conclude by October 30, 2026.
  • The final decision on grants will be made six months after publication.
