The Canary Islands government has opened a call for tenders to fund international cooperation projects in 2025, with a total budget of €2.86 million.
The grants support various organizations, including:
- Public administrations
- Universities
- NGOs
- Immigrant associations
- Private companies
provided they operate in the Canary Islands and have relevant experience in development cooperation.
Project Classification
Projects are classified into two categories:
- Aid in Africa
- Aid in other global regions
Note: This excludes humanitarian aid such as disaster relief and emergency supplies.
Funding Details
- Funds can be allocated up to €60,000 per project.
- An entity can have a maximum of two projects.
- The program encourages diverse participation across sectors.
Application and Timeline
- Applicants have 20 working days from the official publication to submit proposals.
- Activities are expected to start in 2025.
- Projects must conclude by October 30, 2026.
- The final decision on grants will be made six months after publication.
